25th June Monday – ‘The Link Gallery’ exhibited 44 refugee artworks until 2nd July and an article ‘Refugees’ Memories Revealed in Art’ was published in the Canberra Times on the 27th June, showcasing some of Natalia Silva’s artwork. Emma MacDonald sheds light on number of families already helped by TRANSACT over the three years that the organisation has been in operation, also highlighting that art therapy is useful in expression, and also helping refugees deal with their very traumatic experiences.
