2003: Group work with adults
Description
Over the course of the year Companion House developed and implemented several successful programs for adults:
Men’s social group – 25 men participated in the group that emphasised social activities, mutual support of one another and the development of friendship.
Women’s group – 10 women participated in a group that focussed on handling somatised distress and self care.
Writing Workshop – 30 participants were involved in a writing workshop that helped to hone writing skills, lots of wonderful pieces of writing were created.
Kosova Women’s Group – The Kosova women’s group was created as a way of connecting women in the Kosova community. They would knit and sew together. The Canberra Museum and Gallery also held an exhibit that showcased the Kosova women’s knitting and crochet.
