29th October Monday – ‘Lives scarred by the terror of torture’ Megan Bird article published on Chi & Anh’s Vietnamese Communist Regime stories. The horrific account of two Vietnamese woman who witnessed and endured unimaginable torture at the hands of the anti-communist regime. Both woman, now living in Canberra, are actively involved with TRANSACT and want to raise awareness during Amnesty International Week. The article explains its process for slow development as to not become overwhelmed with cases, based on two other organisation’s experiences. TRANSACT has been gradually gathering volunteers and holding training sessions to help an estimated 1400-2000 victims within the ACT area.
